About Us

MHR Technologies, Inc. is located in Gaithersburg, Maryland.  The company was incorporated in 2002 with a sole purpose - to make school operations safer, faster, and more efficient for students, parents, and school staff.

Mark Ruiters, a school parent and founder of MHR's award-winning School-Pass™ technology, worked with numerous schools in Maryland, DC, and Virginia researching safety and efficiency.  The research focused on identifying the school's most vulnerable and manual processes: student arrival, dismissal change management, and afternoon dismissal operations.  Equipped with this research and knowledge, he developed an innovative and practical RFID-based ("radio frequency identification") solution to address modern day security and efficiency demands being placed on schools.

MHR's 2004 pilot program proved to be very successful, with a 100% pilot-to-customer conversion rate and multi-year contracts being signed.
