Company History

MHR Technologies, Inc. is located in Rockville, Maryland. The company was founded with the sole purpose of transforming PK-8 afternoon dismissal/pickup operations into a safer, faster, more efficient process.

Mark Ruiters, a PK-8 school parent and founder of MHR's award-winning School-Pass™ technology, and his team worked with numerous schools in Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia and soon discovered that afternoon dismissals (carpool and bus) have become the most labor-intensive, vulnerable, chaotic, and stressful process for most PK-8 school communities, especially those schools located on busy streets. The company extended its research into Atlanta and Dallas before designing and developing the solution. The solution focused on automating key activities of the arrival/dismissal management life-cycle (for parents, teachers, staff, and students) - the result - an innovative and practical RFID-based ("radio frequency identification") solution used by schools since 2005.
