Arrival/Dismissal Change Management

Schools typically manage a few hundred arrival and dismissal changes per week, including late arrivals, early dismissals, absenteeism, inter-carpool moves, and after-school activities (permanent & temporary). These changes are (in most cases) communicated by the parent via hand written notes or phone calls. Our research has shown that over 65% of delays are caused by changes being "lost" or not communicated to teachers or staff before the start of dismissal. Last minute changes add additional confusion and in many cases cannot make it to the classroom before the parent arrives for pickup.

The Arrival/Dismissal Change Management module empowers the parent community to manage their student's arrival/dismissal changes via the Web, and will automatically notify all parties (the front office, teachers, parents in the carpool, carpool coordinators).

Features & Benefits

• Empower Parents to Manage Arrival/Dismissal Changes via the Web At anytime, or from anywhere, parents can manage changes via the Web (or even via the iPhone or Blackberry) and automatically notify appropriate parties via email and text message. School staff or teachers can also make these changes on behalf of the parent. Change types include:
  • Absenteeism - the School-Pass™ solution can be used as the school's system-of-record or have the absentee data exported to any external system such as Student Information System (SIS)
  • Late Arrival - that your child will arrive later due to a doctor's or dental appointment
  • Early Pickup - schedule an early pickup (for a doctor's or dental appointment), giving the school the opportunity to have the child ready for the early dismissal. The system removes the student from the dismissal schedule for those day(s).
  • Carpool Move - parents are allowed to move students in their carpool to another family carpool (e.g. play date), to the walker group, or to an after-school activity (e.g. school's aftercare program).
• Multi-family Carpool Flexibility The school has the ability to setup multi-family carpools (at the request from parents). Parents in a multi-family carpool can "split" their carpool at any time (when a temporary change required). As an example, Mrs. Brown in the Brown/Smith Carpool will be able to pick up her kids only, while Mrs. Smith picks up her own kids. Typically, all the kids in the carpool are scheduled for dismissal when either parent arrives in the carpool line.
